I will be building a garage this summer at the cottage. I would like to sheet the stud walls prior to setting in place. I was laying in bed this moring thinking about the blimp hangar and how and what I have to do when the question of the windows came up
My question is” if I sheet with T111 (as this will be the finish), how do I install the windows. If the windows have tabs and you are suppose to nail to tab to studs. Do I hold the sheeting back the width of tab then add spacers or do I just nail window over top of sheeting. I don’t believe one can correctly install a window with the wall laying down on slab. Or should I just purchase windows without tabs and hang inside stud opening Any recommendations would be apprecialted.

You most certainly can install windows and siding on a wall laying flat on the floor.
Just make sure the framed wall is straight along the plateline and square to itself. Install one sheet with no windows and nail off.
Install the window the same distance from the top or bottom plate-tack down top or bottom two corners, then square window to itself and nail the rest off.
Put in the rest of the windows and finish the siding.
Oh yeah, make sure you and helpers can lift the whole thing, or you'll have a nice square thing on the ground.
Use the diagonal measurement technique to square up the wall and windows. The first sheet you nail off will help keep the whole thing square while you carefully do the rest.
You forgot to tell him to not line up with a window when they walk the wall up :)
Or, rack it durring the lift.
Better to take the sashes out durring the lift.
Hey some things are meant to be an adventure.
Just ask the new guy helping to push the wall up on the second floor that's so scared of it going over that he starts pulling it back. Makes for that sudden "weight increase" we've felt right at the moment of truth.
Taking the sash out would lighten the load, not a bad idea.
