insualted flexible duct connections
i would like to add a register in the garage (16×8, yeah its small), so i was thinking a 6″ flex duct would serve the garage well.
the main trunk line out of the furnace plenum is 14″ flex duct, with branch lines of various sizes going to the different room registers.
what i am not sure about is connecting the 6″ branch line to the 14″ trunk line.
im guessing they dont make a 14″x6″ reducing tee, so how would i go about it?
all the existing branch lines are covered in tape and extra insulation at the trunk line connection, and i didn’t want to go tearing through the insulation to figure out how the previous owner did it..
any tips would be appreciated

Don't know about your location, but up here, not allowed. Too much chance of co getting into the house.
are you speaking to the register in the garage?
no cars will be in the garage, and i dont just mean that becuase i dont park in the garage, but our garage space would be hard pessed to fit a mini coper or miata in there...
my 'garage' is basically 1/2 of a single car garage, and just have a workbench in there to tinker around on...
