Suggestions, please, from all you pros out there.
Cathedral ceilings throughout, roof pitches at 10/12, some at 12/12. “Rafters” on 24″ centers will be plated 2×4 trusses, pretty much resembling open-web floor trusses, and they will be 20 inches deep. Plenty of space for insulation.
I know, we can foam it, and if we do, we’ll put it in at 7″ thickness to get a nominal R40, but this thing is big, at about 100 squares of roof area. The bill from my foamer will be over $42,000.
Not foaming, of course, we will need to maintain airflow space above. What options do we have?

Time to buy your own foam equipment?
Seems like a guy who can afford 100 squares of roof area oughta be able to cough up $42K to stay confortably warm.
What are you using for heat?

Oil-fired hydronic, mostly buried in 1-1/2" of gypcrete over the decks.
Only $43K on Ebay
i posted a question similar on foam or other options, just not on your scale, heres how were doing it, lay up 2 rows of sheetrock with vapor barrier, then blowing the cavity plum full of celluose. lay 2 more rows do it again. according to the industry it doesn't need vented if filled completly. i ended up with about 18" of insulation, i don't know what the r value is but it must be up in the 40's somewhere.took alot of bags but at 6.00 a bag it turned out pretty reasonable, probably 70% cheaper ,but my labor was free. next suggestion is what you have already heard ,buy a foam machine and sell it when your done. one bid i had was .60 a foot with close cell with a r7 so that falls right about the same as your bid,i'd think some commercial type foamer would get much more competive. larry
