The previous owners of my clients house used 1/4″ sheetrock in the improved attic/new living space. The area is very drafty and cold. They want me to remove the 1/4″ sheet rock update electrical, insulate and use 1/2″ sheet rock to cover. There is heat ducted to the area. My question is will I run into trouble of any kind using the maximum thickness unfaced fiberglass insulation in the walls and rafters and cover that with black visqueen before I sheet rock?
