Hi Folks,
It’s been getting pretty hot in my neck of the woods lately and I would like to cut down on the amount of heat radiated into my garage. I know I could replace my uninsulated steel garage door with an insulated one, but I’m curious if anyone has insulated their doors themselves.
Could I glue some rigid foam insulation to the inside of the door panels? Are there any issues with fire safety that may require a different kind of insulation material? What kind of additional load might this create on the opener?
Thanks,
— Ian
