I’m building a sewing room in our basement for my wife and want to insulate the concrete slab floor. I figure this topic must have received attention before, but I can’t find anything in a search of the site. I’m thinking you’d put down some combination of sleepers, rigid foam insulation and pressure treated plywood, but I’m not at all sure of the details. Has anyone else done this?

You pretty much nailed it so to speak. What you could do, Is put plastic down, then screw or shoot the sleepers down over it 16"oc, rip down your polystyrene and you don't even need to use pressure treated plywood at all, reg T&G 3/4 glued and screwed should be fine. I'm assuming your basement doesn.t have any water problems.
