insulating floor of building on piers

I have two small projects that need floors insulated. I’ve used fiberglass, vapor barrier up, held by chicken wire, but then you’re open to insects and mice. I’m looking for a solution that won’t cause a moisture problem.Expense is also a concern. Thanks, rockon

I have used (and removed) a product that was app 5/8" thick sold in panels like plywood but was of a much lighter density/ weight. It could be used to reduce convection transfers and/ or simply to shield FB from insects/ rodent incursions. I can't recall the name of it (CRS disease, damn!) but I expect a decent local HI store could identify the product.
Not that rodents _couldn't_ chew through this, they could and might, in which case the only other solution I can think of that's reasonably affordable would be something like 1/4" ply (I expect some people would argue rodents can chew through that too but it's pretty uncommon in my experience). More on rodent issues, they're usually looking for either a) food/ water (in which case eliminating the sources is an idea), or b) a place to nest (in which case eliminating them is a common option).
