I have a gable wall between the portion of the house with a cathedral ceiling and the portion with a flat ceiling. The attic behind the gable wall is insulated and ventilated with ridge and soffit vents. The gable wall is insulated with 6″ FG in between 2×6 studs with a poly vapor barrier on the drywall side. My question is: Do I lose a lot of heat because the back of the FG is open to the air in the attic? If so, can I cover the backside with 1 1/2 ” foam board or will that create moisture problems? Thanks in advance, Larry
