im going to do a infloor heating system, the pex heating tubes will be held by and inch and a half of gypcrete…..
under the gypcrete….1 1/2 2x12s laying flat and two layers of 3/4 flooring , half the house is 3/4 t&g 3/4 edge gold sheeting and half is 3/4 edged gold furring strips and 3/4 full sheet edgegold…
my question what type of vapor barrier to use between the floor and the gypcrete? do i insulate the floor in the vented crawspace?….after reading the last energy issue of finehomebuilding in not too sure…
this is coastal oregon …dry sand crawlspace..im thinking 30 lb felt for the floor to gypcrete

you definitely must insulate below the radiant floor. The rest is for others ;)
