I own an old colonial, 150 years, in MA. it’s about 1600 square feet and it has no insulation in the walls and i was looking into what options i have. Blowing in seems to be the only thing since i don’t want tear down walls. Any recommendations, things i should stay away from, guess on what it would cost??
thanks for any advice out there.

Since you haven't got a lot of response to your question here, you might try posing it in the Breaktime forum.
I live in Mass. too---150 year old farmhouse, no insulation. We blew in fiberglass, mostly from the outside. Removed siding, drill holes and blow away. Also topped off the attic.
Worked well, but not as well as the ruthless air sealing we did and new windows. The attic made more of a difference than the walls. For air sealing, foam and weatherstripping.
For the insulation, we used "Bruin Corp" out of framingham (they're on the internet). Great service and NSTAR certified. The electric/gas company will give you 1/2 the cost back, up to $3,000.
Good luck!
