My friend just bought a house that has no insulation in the walls. It seems to remain uninsulated due to the fact that the exterior is unmatchable stucco and the interior is wood lath and plaster. The stud cavities are accessible from the basement, but not from above. Does anyone have any good ideas on insulating this house.
P.S. The home inspector on the real estate transaction did not identify this condition. Should tyhe inspector have caught this situation?
Thanks!

Blow it in Bear, what is the problem?
There is no such thing as an unmatchable stucco, nor would I suspect the plaster is that "unmatchable. Have your friend get quotes from a couple insulation contractors and see what they say.
As far as home inspectors, I have nothing against them personally, but I wouldn't hire one unless someone made me.
