Greetings!
In an old post (27628.18), there is a photo of insulmesh installed on the rafter face behind a kneewall, the purpose being to create an insulation space to be filled with denspak.
By way of confirming what ought perhaps to be obvious already, can the insulmesh by itself permanently support the denspak, without the help of drywall or other wall surface installed over it? Is there a practical limit to the roof pitch for which this works OK?
Thanks

ewing.......the insulmesh can be the permanent support, we staple & glue it, so it is pretty strong
also keep in mind we fur our ceilings & slant ceilings, so the furring is additional support
i see no limit due to pitch
Thank you, I appreciate the clarification.

John, that fabric is pretty tough stuff. If you glue it it'll hold, staples alone will tear if you really pack it.
You could also use rips of scrap ply or OSB to keep it in place if you're not convinced.
It is the same as pelon but thinner my wife says.
