Why do you want solid wood?
U thinking about something else?? Definitely not hollow. Have a fiberglass entrance door which I'm impressed with. Overkill for interior doors. Are you thinking about veneer with solid wood-product sandwiched between?? Any recommendations as to brands/manufacturers?? Thanks
Was just wondering why they had to be solid. Extra weigh and cost, harder to hang, more likely to warp or sag.

When you say 'solid wood', are you looking for raised panel doors?--or solid core flush veneered doors? Big difference in cost.
Oh, and the weight should not be an issue if you add a third hinge.
Solid doors are nice. They feel like quality and are quieter.
If you're going to paint them, look into solid core masonite. Very stable, take paint well, but as mentioned before, they're a little more effort to hang.

Understatement there!
These guys are in your area. Guy who was prez at ThermaTru when I was there, bought the company and runs it today. Pricey doors, but really well made.
Their market had been builders doing really expensive homes, but how much of that is going on now, I cannot say. In big ticket work, heft sells, and most all the doors they sell into that market is 1-3/4" thick. They will make whatever you want.
Interesting factoid. All their sales are handled by inside salespersons from the Phoenix office, mostly women. Selling on commission, all of them were grossing in excess of $150K annually, and this from ten years ago.

They have a showroom attached to the front of their plant in Phoenix.
