I need to plug about 100 holes in a small ipe deck… 3/8″ forstner holes, tapered plugs. Normally I would use Titebond II but it’s not going to get over 40 degrees tomorrow and I’m not sure it will ever set up. I’ve tried Gorilla in the past but it tends to push the plugs up out of the holes as it expands. So, I was thinking 20-minute epoxy but I’m not sure about whether it will bond to ipe well, and/or whether it will leave a dark line around each plug.
Anyone have experience with this?
