ipe(brazilian walnut) indoor use

I am considering ipe (brazilian walnut) as flooring in my livingroom and diningroom. I would like to just oil it and not put any urethane finish on it. What are the pros and cons of a naturally oiled indoor floor? Am I asking for big trouble with maintenance in the future?

    Check out Glitsa' Swedish oil finish. A two part acid cure finish. Oils such as Watco can display drying problems.
