I find that this stuff drys just slightly faster than JP – but I’m expecting this because it’s less watery….
At $14 a gallon……..I was expecting something for the $$ 😉

I think spackle usually contains PVA- i.e., wood glue. That makes it adhere better and set faster. Joint compound doesn't have it.
By the way, you can add water to spackle to thin it down and make it easier to finish, it still works.
