This doesn’t come up all the time – but it bit me the other day.
What’s the fix for a new lav faucet installation in a granite top when the supply stubs aren’t long enough for the supply tubes ?

Check w/the manufacturer - many of them make extensions for just this application.
Longer supply tubes are the answer.
Depending on the style of connections from the faucet will dictate which style of longer supply line that you will need.
Have a pic?

No I mean that the 1/2" mip protion of the faucet isn't long enough to stick below the granite far enough to have any threads left for the supply. Once the nut for the fastening to the cntop goes on there's only one thread left.

Ran into the same problem last summer-went to plumbing supply house with the faucet in hand and they were able to give me a couple of extensions that did the trick perfectly.
Oh ok, misunderstood what you were asking.
Is it just granite or is it granite & substrate?
If it has substrate that can be removed & the faucet seated right to the granite.
If it is just granite, then you have to make the 1/2" ips connections longer. That can be achieved by some nipples & couplings. They make a long threaded nipple just for this application. I have a quick trip i have to make & I'll do some searching online when I get back & post to ya what I am talking about.
