I have a situation where a Jenn-Air downdraft vent, below grade keeps filling up with large amounts of water possibly due to a crack or seam in the metal ducting, causing a gurgling sound when the fan is turned on, does anyone know of a sleeve or liner that could be used, or have any other suggestions that could be used to eliminate tearing out wood flooring, concrete, cabinets and drywall or stucco to repair, the distance is about 6 feet.

Is this a metal duct buried in soil under a slab? Where is all this water coming from? Wicking of moisture from a high ground water level up to the bottom of a slab is to be expected, but sub-slab water content high enough to flood an exhaust duct seams to be a symptom of another problem. You might want to do a pressure drop test on your water systems by connecting a pressure gage to the system, note system operating pressure, and then shutting the main supply valve. If the pressure remains steady you do not have a supply line leak. If the pressure drops off quickly, check all water uses to make sure that they are off. If the pressure continues to drop on subsequent tests you more than likely have a leak. Please reply.
I agree.. water is the problem not the vent. That much water directly under the slab with hardwood floors just can't be a good thing. Where is this house built? ... The high tide line?
