JET 10″ Contractors Discontinued – LOWES
Heads up to Tool hos – Just stumbled upon the fact that the 10″ JET Contractors saw is being discontimued as a stock item at Lowe’s. This means a 25% discount for one week, then 50% discount after two weeks, and up to (or over) 75% discount after that on Sunday PMs (just ask to see the Tool Manager) Currently priced at $399.99
I don’t know what the logic is of the third discount step, but I recently availed myself of it, walking off with $500 of new goods for under $100.00 last sunday.
Normally wouldn’t promote big-box retails, but this is potentially a great opportunity for someone on alimited budget to get a very servicable saw.

And to top it off Jet is having a rebate spree now. A $500 tool would get you another $50 bucks back in your pocket. So, new tablesaw for $50. That don't sound too shabby.

I walked into a Lowes the other day and there were a goodly number of clearence items in the center aisle. Mostly light fixtures.
Then I got to looking at a plumbing section there and saw a bath vanity in a split box with a number of cartoned sinks and the like.
There was a Jacuzzi chome counsole lavatory base without the sink marked down a bunch of times from the $200 something price.
So I asked a manager what he could do on the vanity, the Jacuzzi base, a Kohler undermount lav sink and something else I pointed at but I forget.
He looked at them and said $5 a box. No shid. Did I buy 'em? You bet! Roar!
They were discontinues and weren't damaged.
I dont have any trouble with Lowes.
be cheap

Me neither. We usually manage to go bargain surfing there once a week, at least.
Bought a $175 kitchen faucet for $50 a couple weeks ago. Rarely find tools, but ya never know. The older I get, the better I was....
Yall are makin me want to go.
Shoot, Tim, we did good Labor Day weekend. I don't remember what all we bought.
I regularly pass 2 or 3 Lowes stores and if I have time, I'm in there looking for a fix... for better or for worse. The older I get, the better I was....
You (or guys like you) must beat me to those bargains.
I never seem to find anything worth buying on those closeout tables. :(
It's only when I'm breezing thru for something. Something like every two weeks kind of thing usually unless I'm under the gun.
Gotta watch it tho unless you're made of money.
Homeboys like me don't like to dish out $500 unexpected. Last year I went breezin' in and they were just sticking a 'all tile 99cents' sign up on a large display of discontinueds.
For I knew what I was doin' I'm chasing down a manager working a deal for everything. I was thinking twice about my half ton truck being able to handle it.
be it's a sickness I tell ya

We racked up some 12" marble tile for less than $1 per. Got every one they had that wasn't broken. For me, the trick is to use it for something that I can make money on -not using it on my own house like DW would like.
I agree with you Rez, ya gotta be careful. The older I get, the better I was....
