Anyone have any experience with the Jet 10″, bench top table saw? It seems like a good value at around $200 from Amazon. I really only need it for ripping the millwork for our new house, so it’s mostly 3/4″ stock- oak, poplar and cherry. I have a planer and jointer so i can dress the stock as needed.
I really can’t see spending $600 for the Bosch. I know it’s a great saw, but so is my Powermatic 66. I just can’t get to it now because of our constuction storage situation.
Thanks!

I think if you keep the blade sharp and be attentive to the feed speed, you should be alright even with the denser oak. The cherry and poplar will probably burn a little, but a sharp blade will minimize this.
If you've got a jointer and planer then almost any jobsite saw will do. Like you, I've got a full-size cabinet saw (1950's vintage Unisaw), but I'll admit that these days the luggable PC portable gets far more use.

I have been using one for about 2 years now. I like the belt drive, and have been satisfied with its' performence, including ripping pt wood.
