So my ex walked out on my daughter and I two and a half years ago. Since then its been a challenge to go to work, keep house, and deal with the life of a small child (She was 2 when my ex left). In that time I’ve had to sell my house, give most of my savings to a lawyer, save up some more till I could buy a new place, drive junker cars and generally struggle along.
Then a year ago I meet this great girl, we spend time together, she’s great with my daughter and this past weekend we got married. Things are going great. I finally have a family again, and everything is finally back on track.
Got paged 5 min before my shift was done at work today. They let me go. My last check comes in a week before Christmas, all my savings are tied up in fixing up the house.
Why can’t things ever run on an even keel??
