Has anyone heard of a new product made of kevlar, in rolls like soffit screen, which is used instead of hurricane straps?

No, but I used to use alot of kevlar cord for rock climbing. Gotta cut the stuff with a wire cutter and it's still hard to cut.
Sounds like alot of work.
*Thanks Ryan, A friend of mine saw the kevlar on iv the other night and I am trying to find out what it's called. My buddy said that they shot it on with a nail gun and it sparked every time. That kind of backs up what you say about it being hard to cut. Anyway, thanks for the try. Maybe someone else saw the show.
*Doug, try a web-search under New Necessities. I've spoken to the president of this company, Dan Galucci, I think, about the Kevlar straps that they make. Andy
*Andy, thanks for the tip on the Kevlar site. The actual address is "www.millibar.com". I think we will be seeing this product in Fine Homebuilding Soon. Seems like a good product. Doug
