Has anyone laid laminate flooring over concrete and had a problem with cupping? The concrete floor is perfectly dry ( I did a pH test to determine this, as well as taping a plastic sheet to the floor prior to laying the vapor barrier) The slab is above grade, and the land is basically gravel, and very well drained. The seams of the vapor barrier have been taped. The house has electric heat, so there is not undue humidity, although the problem did start in the summer. However, summers in the northeast are not particularly humid. I laid the same floor upstairs, over plywood, and it has stayed perfectly flat.

We laid alot of laminate over concrete and no problems with cupping, just a problem with a 40' run. We did not increase the gap at the ends and the flooring raised 6" in the middle with humidity changes. Had to cut the end gap to 3/4" on both ends then all was fine. Had to change out the base boards also.
