I’ve got a leaking sink in our bathroom that my wife is about to kill me over. Here’s what is happening – When we go to drain the sink, it doesn’t flow fast enough, and water goes out the drain of the sink, and backs up into the overflow section of the sink. The sink and the overflow were apparently molded seperately and stuck together with a bunch of adhesive, and a spot was missed, so when water hits that, it runs out instead of going down the drain line.
This is obviously a cheap sink, but I hate to rip it out for this small of a problem. Any product you can suggest to use that would seal the leak? Would plain latex caulk work, or do I need something different?

Two-part waterproof epoxy- you can get it at a pool supply house if your local plumbing supply house doesn't have it.

Or JB Weld which you can get anywhere. Fixed a lot of things with JB Weld.
