Lean to Shed – Contruction Detail Questi

i am planning to build a lean to storage shed. is it ok to place the ledger on a brick veneer surface. Do i have to remove brick and mount ledger on the 2×6’s . For roof i am wanting to use asphalt shingles. Dimension of the shed 10’x6′ with a slooping roof.
