Lightolear can lights

Is the thermocouple replacable?  Have two in a ceiling of many that keeps blinking.  Bulbs are 65 W and rated up to 150W.  Insulation is not in contact, however the roof is low in that area.  I know why they are supposed to go off.  Do not want to replace the entire unit because of course the painter painted the trims to the plaster ceiling.  Anyway, the electric supply house that carries them did not know the answer.  Got on the internet and the expensive lightolear company does not have a site that I could find.

    BTW, when you contact them it does not use a "termocouple".

    It it uses a bimetalic overtempature switch.
