I had a similar expierence with Insulate Windows. The crank on one of the casements was missing some paint – probably rubbed against its mate in transit. I told the dealer and he had their service rep call me to make an appointment to replace the crank. I expected maybe a tube of touchup paint in the mail.

Dennis ;I am amazed also at how most window

from MN built a 1.1 mil dollar winter home in Az.
the window package was 100 thousand. The

Weathershield had a lousy reputation with Service.

Last October I placed a 30 degree bay in Wisconsin. This spring, I noticed that the inner pane of the large picture window had developed an edge crack. I called Norandex (Siminton window), offered to take a picture. Not necessary. They asked for some numbers and ordered the sash (Geez, a DIY who knows a window is a sash - good to hang around here and learn the language). The sash came in today, and as I buy in Moline, they told me that rather than place it myself, I could call a glass company, get a receipt and they would pay for the installation.
When I replaced an Anderson in my Davenport home, the rep came, said,
"Yup, you need a new one." had it delivered to my local hardware store, and I put it in. Maybe a unique story, don't know. At the time I was just happy to have the sash replaced.
Growing up the son of a cop, it is hard for me to fatham someone else doing the work. Guess I shall try and get used to it.
