Maybe you guys have run this thread before, but I was thinking there must be some lines you would love to hear, but know that you won’t:
i i.e.
“No, no rush, anytime between now and next July would be soon enough.” OR “Are you sure you’re making enough money on this quote?” OR “We don’t need any more samples, the colour is perfect.”

"See you later, dad, I'm going out to help mom split wood".
*I actually did have a repeat client who would ask, "Are you allowing enough budget for this project?" (We were enough cheaper than the competition to raise the question). And I'd be arguing for ways to lower the price more often than to raise it. If something went better than expected, I'd pass on the savings. And whenever there was a cost over-run, there was no hesitation on her part to increase the budget. Real nice for a change. And to the GC on my own house, I said things like, "Color? Whatever good quality builders-off-white is avilable in 5-gallon pails"
*Are you sure you billed me for everything, I really thought it would cost more.
*Its hard to believe, but I have heard the same basic things that Armin and David mention. Such as "are you sure you charged me enough?" and how about "here, have another sandwich while your're on break". Happy holidays.
*I've heard the "no rush" line from customers. Just have never believed they really meant it.Barry
*I've had several clients tell me — "you really should charge more!"
*I actually had one person say " I really dont see how you can make them for that" , and after agonising over a price...." My clients seem pretty happy with the price so far.." gggrrrrrrr. Aint it always the way? your 'little voice' is saying, charge more, charge more. and you dont..............
*It's not my little voice - it's my little wife.Don
