litheon’s ok?

I dunno. Free, no battery. Rebate. Mail-in.

Going to be needing to re-tool on drills here shortly. One of the batteries died on my 12v Impact Bosch already and I swear by my Bosch.

Ok tool but I haven’t really used it that awful much compared to the way some of you guys do. True been a couple years since purchased but just pecking here and there with it mostly and no marathon runs out side of sheathing on a couple roofs.

Not used everyday. Just seems too early for it to fart out already like that. Been thinking maybe a change might be due.

Looks to be between Makita and Milwaukee. Multi tool kit time. All the wrinkles ironed out on the litheon’s yet?

I will swear by my Mak LIon kit.  The drill speed changer is touchy, but then I rarely change speeds; it's always on 3.  Drill is always used for drilling at 3, Impact driver drives the screws.  Smaller screws are taken care of by the Bosch Impactor, a sweet little tool.

And the Mak keeps coming out with new tools in their 18v line.  The basic kit of Drill or Hammerdrill, Impact driver, circ saw and maybe the recip saw should work for you.  I also bought the angle grinder and angle impact driver.  And the saber saw is on my list to buy, soon.

I don't use them super-heavy either but I have the pocket driver and the little impactor, too.  Fantastic little tools; batteries last a long time; nice and light, easily carried.  No real downside.

That said I love the Makita Li Ion toold too.  If you're looking at drills again, take a long look at the drill/impact set they sell with the smaller batteries.  Depending on your usage, they might be a great deal.

The combo kit is really nice too, and you can get it now for a lot less than I did.

I've got the PS 10 and 20, love them both.  I'd like to get the impactor, but just can't justify a $200 tool that does the same as my $60 Ryobi... yet.

I use them alot when doing electrical work, I have a better feel with them than I do with larger tools.  The "slow start" feature on the PS10 really does help start a screw better.

The charger is REALLY fast too, and the batteries do stay charged for a long time.

I have the PS10, which doesn't get anything like 'pro' level of use. But I have barely ever needed to charge it. And I like the slow start also.

My 18v DeWalt drill is about done- needs at least one battery, chuck is done, etc. Been thinking about a Bosch as a replacement (my Dad thinks I've picked up every Bosch tool there is). Kinda wish they'd give me a free one of these little drivers to go with it.

Lithium ion batteries do not work well in the cold... cold being about 40* F and colder.

    That's been my experience.

I've had my Makita drill / driver and impact for over a year now, I think.

and just got the LXT401 kit.

that version has the drill /hammer drill , sawzaw , circular saw , and flashlight.

    got it reconditioned for $360.

love the forst drill ... and now love the kit.

I waited till the recond'd stuff hit the new stores.

Litheon is Bosch's trademark for Lithium Ion batteries.

If you have use for a second 10.8V tool, that is a good deal. You get two batteries and a charger with any tool in the series.

PS20 cost me $130 with two batteries, charger and cloth case. CPO bosch has the same kit refurb for $90.

The PS10 gets into very tight spaces. PS20 is a wonderful tool for general use.

The impact driver is very good, but it won't keep up with an 18V lithium tool like the Makita.
