Building a home and came acrosse this brand of windows as an upgrade. The appearance really struck me. Anyone had any experience with them? They come from Canada (no political jokes here!) and appear to be made much better than most of their American counterparts. But they are more expensive about 25%. Thanks for the responses!

I am in western Canada and do commercial work mostly. We sometimes get Loewen window and door packages. The general quality of fit and finish is excellent but they are more expensive as you note. Typically we see them spec'd as a premium upgrade package for high-visibility buildings with high production values such as wineries. They have a gorgeous line of fir trimmed windows and doors that I installed in a winery/wine retail shop project a year ago. All low-E glass and technically up-to-date as well as great to look at. European-style hardware supplied was good quality and functioned smoothly right away.
Arch top windows in attached shots came complete with interior and extrior arch trims, these were accurately radiused and well finished.

the most recent job we did, Loewen came in 25% less than Marvin. The quality is first rate. We got the push out casements which are beautiful. I would highly recommend.
