I am looking for a source of what I will call “old fashioned bard door rollers and track” but not for a barn door…
A couple years ago on vacation, we stayed in a hotel that used track/rollers for the bathroom door in the hotel room..it was balck metal and had the track mounted to the wall and the rollres on a bracket mounted toi the door.
I have looked everywhere to find such a thing in the size I need but ll I can find is barn door sized…
Anyone help???

I can't tell you where to find it, but I know it is out there.
Just last week I saw a brand new loft condo for sale where they used this type of barn door hardware for all the interior doors.

Hard to Imagine finding this is so difficult!!
I have seen just what you're looking for at Menards, a local builders store, in the pole building parts area. Any pole building supplier/builder will have them, and in several different sizes.

I just designed a unit with that exact doors in mind... one to the closet and one to the bath... thought i'd build the door out of welded up 1" sq tube and on both sides cover it in rivited on flat sheet Galvinized metal thought something lighter weight than bard door hardware but the same look...

I am thinking about doing a similar thing, but on a larger scale. I want to enclose a master bedroom loft without shutting the room off with a small door, so I plan to build two 4x8 doors which will ride on overhead tracks like barn doors. When open, they will give the room the same view and openness as the main part of the house enjoys, but with the option for closed privacy. The price is ridiculous if you want something which is exposed and looks good.
Wooddust,
I just ordered sliding tracks today from a local supplier here in Seattle. An archy spec'ed these in her house. A quick google turned up this web-site:
http://www.barndoorhardware.com/sliding_door_hardware.htm
I ordered the Husky 100 - 2 kits.
However, my local supplier quoted me a price of $138 total price for both kits ($69 ea). The prices on this site are much, much higher. But maybe you could take the model no. you want to a local dealer and they could get it cheaper.
Hope this helps.
Brad
That's good to know. Prices on the websites seem crazy.
