I just read the last issue of FHB about the improved all vinly windows. Could anyone tell me where to get some HIGH quality all vinly windows, there was no mention of any manufacturer? Also, any recomendation on architectural roof shingles, and prefinished hardwood flooring?

Turtle,
Check out Simonton Windows . They're good, I'm sure there are better, but these might impress you a little. Their web site is:

Simonton windows are manufactured in Parkersburg, WV.

For roof shingles...architectural, 45 year asphalt....look at the TIMBERLINE Series by GAF.
For pre-finished hardwood flooring...Bruce comes to mind, but I'm sure there are others.

"Insulate" vinal windows were the leader out here in Western Washington before other companies caught up. I still use them. Never had a callback, their warrenty used to be longer than Millguard, and they're priced right(you can get a very servicable 6 foot SGD for about $400 for example). They used to be locally owned, but I think they recently sold out to a conglomerate, Owens Corning maybe? Anyway, I've had real good luck with them over the past 10 years or so.
I used philips on my home, and they're not bad for the price. Used them 'cause the glazing area is a bit larger than others (smaller frame). Nice looking window, for vinyl. If I did it again I would definitely use milgard. They were about 30% more, but I think they are a much stronger frame.
