Can anyone suggest where I may be able to find a vintage looking green asphalt shingle? Most of the green shingles today have a variation of color, but I’m looking for kind of an old-time farmhouse look, and around here (in Ohio), they often had green 3-tab shingles, but not the ones you see today with the color variation of some being darker green, some having a lot of black, etc. The roof was just one tone of green.
The closest thing to what I’m looking for seems to be Tamko’s Empire Green Blend. But this is only a 20 year shingle and I’d prefer something designed to last a bit longer.
I’ll try to get a picture of what I’m looking for.
Any thoughts? -Thanks

Visit your local lumberyard...not Lowes or Home Depot...but 84 lumber is OK...so is Carter Lumber...if you don't have a local lumberyard. These lumberyards all have samples of many different roofing suppliers and their respective shingle colors; including the dark green.
The dark green is readily available in 30 year and up shingles, but these asphalt shingles won't be 3 tabs, they will be archtectural style instead..
Owens Corning, GAF and Timberline are all brand names that carry the dark green shingle. The 3 tab, "light green" shingle you mostly see on homes today is the color labled "surf green," which I'm sure is not the right color for your needs... but "Midnight Green" and/or "Forrest Green" may be what you are looking for.
