Anthony Forest Products out of El Dorado, Arkansas.
They offer a laminated log made of yellow pine dried down to 15%. http://www.anthonyforest.com
It is called PowerLog. Several yellow pine mills will run log cabin siding out of 2×8’s . Last time I had it quoted the upcharge to run it was around $45 per M/board feet over the cost of the 2×8’s. Possibly could get a SPF mill to run the pattern if sufficient quantity involved.

Working on an Adirondack-style house (AJ, I may need to hire you as a consultant!) circa 1924 with various widths of smooth, simulated log siding. Most is 3 to 3 1/2" wide and 5 to 5 1/2" wide with a flat lap of about 3/4"-1". Yes, there are log home sites on the net, I've checked them out and they don't appear to carry this.
Anyone familiar with this product? Is this the 'ADK' style siding someone was discussing the other day? Someone suggested a supplier called Bateman Brothers but I haven't been able to find them either.
Any help would be appreciated
Jeff
*Jeff, I'm not sure if this is fesable for you,but there is a company here in Alaska called Spruce works that makes a siding that may be what your looking for. Their phone # is (907) 776-3436
*Jeff,Take a peek at glulam.com's "log cabin siding" (not their glulam product). Harmonyexchange.com offers a similar product.Never used either, but hopefully this will get you off to a start...
*Thanks for the links! Harmony's D-Log siding is close, except that it doesn't have an extended leg to creat a 'chinked' area look. This is circa 1924 so I may be looking at custom milled. Also, they have 1 x 6 and 1 x 8 and I need some 1 x 4. Good start - I'll call to see what they can do.David, I suspect that the air freight from Alaska would cost a bit more than custom milling. Jeff
*Hi Jeff,You may want to look at 4 seasons log faces. They are about 11 inches high by 1 1/2 inches thick with a bevel edge and are T & G assembly. I think that they are located in Parry Sound Ontario Canada and ship world wide. Quality is top of the line and prices are very good.Gabe
*Jeff, not sure where you are but Satterwhites in Longview TX and Mountain Vally Lumber in Saguache CO both have siding similar to what your looking for. Chuck
*Thanks for these responses. Our local specialty lumber yard is recovering somewhat from amnesia from the last time they supplied this and I think they're onto a source. I'll post it for the archives when they get back to me.Jeff
