I’m an avid reader of FHB, and have used the breaktime forum for a while, both to ask questions, and offer a bit of help where I can.
I’m 35, and live in Hamtramck, MI. I’ve spent a good number of years working in office environments, and never felt very satisfied. A few years ago, I left the office life, realizing that money without satisfaction doesn’t make you very happy.
I’ve found that I truly ENJOY doing construction jobs. From framing to finish work, from decks to painting, I’m never bothered by the work, although at times dealing with the customers seems to be a bit frustrating…
My needs, I find, are fairly minimal, so I work when work comes along. I seem to be in a bit of a dry spell, but the bills keep coming in, so I’m turning to this board for a bit of help.
I’ve never worked on a crew, but I do tend to get along well with others, am anxious to improve my skills, and do quality work. I have my own tools, get to places on time, and learn quickly.
I’m looking for work with an experienced crew, hoping both to improve my skills, and do the best job that can be done. I’m interested in rough carpentry and roofing, timber-framing, finish carpentry, and painting.
If anyone is looking for a dedicated person in the Detroit area, please feel free to get ahold of me, either via email, at [email protected], or via phone, at 313.893.3255.
Thanks,
Michael Sendrowicz

*Mike Smith - The person with the roof just called a few days back to let me know his loan money came through... We're supposed to start within the next week.I found a lead carpenter here, through the FHB board. Thanks, Michael Sendrowicz
