Looks like Brick out of cement and tape?
Yo,
I’m looking for instructions on making a brick appearance over existing cement. I was watching DIY or what ever and a contractor mixed up cement added color to the cement and spread a thin layer over a taped out brick patters. Then removed the tape to expose the cement under it and had a great brick walk way left. Has any body done this and what are the steps. Your advice would really help.
Thanks

It is called stenciling . It requires a special mix if you are going over an existing walk . If this is a new placement you can pour the concrete as usual then mix your colored concrete and place it over the wet walk ,after you have arranged your stencil . It is a little tougher than that but that is the diy show version.
Don,
Do u know any companies doing this or have a product package or is this a stenciled tech that mason have come up with I have two 30 foot walk way that a cement and this seems like a perfect way to dress them up.
Thank for you help. If you think of anything else please let me know.

I remember a company used to advertise on TV maybe 20 years ago. They used a similar technique, but instead of taping off mortar joints, they put on a white mortar colored layer followed by a continuous brick colored top layer and then scrape in the joints with a special rake tool. I checked, they are still in bisiness at http://www.brickface.com/ so you may want to check them out.
Hope this helps. Rich.

Saw some of this stuff in So Calif. at a paint store called Vista Paints. Tape and a limestone finish product
Go check this out: lmscofield.com/texturetop ( that's LMscofield). It comes in two grades, Stamp Grade and Stencil Grade. Stencil is designed for a thickness of 1/32" to 1/8" and there are various stenciuls available that you lay down and sprinkle different colored powders over. Stamp grade is designed for 1/8" to 3/4" and after it is layed you press things into it to create patterns.
Do it right, or do it twice.
