Anybody got anything good or bad to say about the cheap ceramic floor tile that Lowe’s has on sale right now for .79 per sq ft. The only color they have (at my store) is Texas Beige and it doesn’t look half bad at all.

check to see that it is rated for your specific application. It has been my experience that much of the tile at Lowes ( in stock ) is seconds and not as regular as first quality tile. I have used tile from Lowes with good success but find it a bit harder to work with.

Okay, so other than reading the info on the box, how do we find out what the tile is "rated" for? Are there any websites that have that kind of info?
thanks
n,
You will be able to find out most anything about tile here: http://www.tileusa.com/profile_main.htm Some of the publications and information are not without cost.

Buy extra because Lowes changes tile supplier every 3 weeks and u'll never find it again.
Hardly need a tile saw with their cheap stuff.Seems like u could score it hard with a pencil and snap break it.
We have that in our house (or some similar color from Lowes). The tiles were not all exactly the same size, which made it harder to lay.
