Lumber core plywood ????????

I’ve purchased and used birch lumber core plywood in the past and it seems to be filled with what I think is basswood. I was wondering if anyone would know if walnut or cherry lcp. would be filled with the same or could you purchase sheets with the lumber core similar to the veneer?
