On my back porch gable ( 16′ L x 10′ W @ a 7 pitch I want to side it with clapboard in a fan type pattern. Any good sites or books out there on this? I helped on one about 15 years ago and don’t remember the procedure. The rest of the clapboard on the house is on a 4.5 inch reveal.
Thanks
Roy

rupert .. 1st you need a half circle central hub...
lay everything out to scale .. a 1/2" = 1 ft. is good.. the central hub might be 32" wide x 16" high
start at the bottom with horizontal courses, 2d course might taper from 2.5 at the hub to 4.5 at the ends... strike 2.5" arcs around a paper pattern of your hub to see what will work out.. ( 2" ..... 2.25" ...2.5" etc ) the last vertical board has to be ripped to the same taper and it laps both the left & right sides comming up
