Anybody out there had a chance to buy/use the Makita 18 volt trim saw/drill driver kit? I hate my dewalt 14.4 trim saw, and am hoping that the makita has done a better job of building one that is truly ‘cordless’.

Check Gary Katz's review in Tools and Materials, FHB issue 124.
*i bought the makita 18 volt 1/2" drill and circular saw combo last year. i don't think i would call the saw a trim saw because the blade is very course, and i haven,t been able to find a fine touth , thin kerf blade for it. personally i like my 12 volt makita drill better than the 18 volt version, much liter and more compact with no appreciable difference in battery life.
