I bought a combo-tool set from MAKITA last winter; drill, sawzall, circ-saw and flashlight (if that is considered a ‘tool’). The drill has multiple clutch settings and has a toggle for drilling vs. screw driving. I think I busted up the clutch since the drill doesn’t work under any torque and the screw driver is letting go under low loads.
Is this worth getting repaired? My only sticking point is the battery sizes; I’d like to keep them consistent with all the tools. Makita stopped making the 14.4 that I am currently using.
Any helpful advice?

Now you know why they quit making that series...

WOW!!! What a Ride!
How bout that switch for drill/driving? Could that be the culprit? If the clutch or gear setup, I don't know that you wouldn't be spending a goodly amount. Once made "one" out of two milwaukee 12 volt screwguns. That was worth it for a while.
