Makita Lith-Ion cordless grinder.
Has anyone had any experience with this one. I almost bought one and the tool place said that they sent all theirs back to their supplier because they had no power at all.
I thought a cordless grinder might be handy and I was interested in the extra battery. I’m sure you all know how expensive the Lith-Ion batteries.

One of our guys has the Makita LI kit with the grinder.
I've used it twice and found it handy. Not sure on how long durability would be.
I have one and it does come in handy for extremely light duty jobs. I have to say that we have only used it on steel to clean up small weld beads; we have not used it on wood projects. I've also noticed that the battery doesn't last long. Although it's a good tool it doesn't really impress like the drill and impact that use the same battery type.

Got one.
They are very handy in situations where there is no job power and I see that quite a bit.
They are not a production grinder. You cannot lean on them like a 120v model. They will first turn on a red warning light, then shut you down for a brief cool down, then back at it. Requires a delicate touch, but they do cut.
I have been using the Makita LION kit daily since Xmas and like the tools. The impact driver and the 1/2 drill get the most use. Of late, I have been drilling out studs for romex with the drill and a self feed. Handy.

I have the Dewalt cordless and I keep a flapper sanding pad on it to sand down high spots etc.
I have always wondered why they haven't come out with a cordless sander.
A cutoff blade will cut thru any chain or lock in a matter of seconds.
And a powered wire brush sure can come in handy.

I have one, and keep a diamond blade bolted up for cutting plaster. Works great, & I don't have to worry about a cord.
