Has anyone ever seen a design for a driveway gate you can open from inside car, from either side, and which will self-close? I can sort of figure out a way to do a Rube Goldberg that will “unlock” from one side, and allow you to push open a (slightly) spring-loaded gate with the bumper, but can’t figure out how to do from both sides.
This is for rural property, where entrance from highway is some distance from house. And this is coastal Oregon, where it rains about 342 days a year, so getting out to open a gate is kind of a pain. I guess I could run power out there and put in one of those remote controlled gates, but I’d rather not.
