hello all I was wondering if anyone has anyexpeirence installing a reservoir tank on a well system? we have about 2.5 gpm and I have talked to two different water conditioning people each with a different system. one was to put a 300 gal tank and pump on the well side of the pressure tank the other guy put the 300 gal tank and pump on the house side. I have found the tanks on line but am unsure of what type and size pump I need. as always I appreciate any and all help

I can't help ya' much, but I can say that there is an *excellent* well forum on the terrylove.com plumbing site.
I'm not sure what you mean by reservoir storage. Here we usually store 2000-3000 gallons unpressurized from the in-well pump and then use a pressure pump with 50-100 gallons pressurized storage for the domestic water.
If this is just for your house ( not irrigation, or some heavy use), I would go w the larger pressure tank. Install it next to your existing. Try to avoid owning another pump, motor ect. Just more stuff to break.
You may have some well pump control issues to address w the new larger tank. such as well running dry before tank is full. A good local driller or plumber should be able to help you out.
