I need some help… was trying to think of a way to mark kitchen cabinet doors for painting (an older home). So that when I put the doors back on I won’t have any problems after they are freshly painted. Any thoughts? I drilled small holes in a pattern and made a key, i am sure there is an easier way…

I put the mark in the hinge hole, or where the hinge fits. but you only need to mark "like" doors as most will only fit in one place.
harbor freight has the small 1/4" or less number & letter punch/stamp set ($6) i use them all the time on metal parts i fabricate so that i know where they go later... I think that with the right touch you could stamp a number or letter into the wood on the backside where it'd never show unless you were looking for it...

Mark bottom edge of lower cabs, top edge of upper.

Remove a door. Under where the hinge will go back and cover up take a sharpie and write a number. Now cover that number with a small piece of blue painters tape. Do the same thing on the cabinet frame where the door was removed from, marking the same number.
