I got a flyer awhile back from a company offering laminates like Formica, but in metalic finishes, Stainless steel, Copper, etc real metal.
I think I tossed it, and now might need just such a product
any leads or comments anyone?
BTW, I will post some photos soon of that SS counter I did a couple months ago. It was in the rush season so I didn’t do much photography.

Just got the new Outwater catalog today. Pages 382-387 are filled with NuMetal high pressure metal laminate.
Hope it's a high budget project ... from the Patina Collection ... 4'x8'x .050" thk, copper on phenolic back with lacquer topcoat, about $496 per sheet.
Oh wait ... here's one ... .035" stainless steel foil on phenolic ... looks like some kind of engine turned swirl ... $628.
And they also have simpler stuff in the $100 range.

Well, Formica offers metal-faced HPL. The other big HPL manufacturers do too.
I've heard that stuff can be a problem to work with.
Better research it real good before you bid it.

Authority has a problem with me.
That's partly what I'm wondering, if anyone has hands on experiences to report.

Last year sometime at JLC somebody was saying the stuff wouldn't act nice with the laminate trimmer.
Maybe try asking here: http://www.woodweb.com/index.htmlI don't have a problem with authority.
