Hi. I’m new here. I am planning to refinish the basement in my house and since none of the interior walls would be load bearing, I thought I would use metal studs (it would make it a lot easier to bring it downstairs). Problem is, I don’t know how to attach the insulation. I’m used to stapling fiberglass bats to the studs, but I don’t think my staplegun has enough oompf to put a staple through a metal stud. Anybody done this (stupid question) and interested in sharing??

m, you can buy from your drywall distributor (commercial) that has metal studs also, the insulation you are looking for. Full 16 or 24" wide. Friction fit. To stiffen the walls you can also slide in and lock (at the premade holes in the studs) a cold rolled steel u shaped reinforcing bar. A slice in the insul at that point will keep it there. Normally the friction fit will hold it till sheetrock.
