I have an opportunity to buy a makita cordless drill and impact driver set for $150. I typically use milwaukee but I wanted your opinions on this set as it looks to be a good price. The drive is BDF452 and the impact driver is BDT142. What are you comments good and bad. Thanks.

Makita makes an excellent drill/driver.
I would prefer it over the Milwaukee personally.
That is the 1.5 amp hour version. For professional
use the 3 amp hour would probably be a better choice.
Also, All Lithium batteries are not so good in the cold.
I guess it depends upon its intended use. I have a Makita 18v 3/8 drill with lithium ion batteries that is nicely light weight, but the batteries require more frequent charging than the old NiCads did. For my home projects, that's quite okay. Same for the little matching screw driver hammer drill. I'm very happy with the two, and I've always been a Makita fan for cordless.
I own the 1.5 and the 3 amp hour makita drills. I am happy with the performance of both but the 1.5 drove me crazy ...seemed like it constantly needs to be charged. The extra weight of the 3 amp hr is completely worth it in my opinion.
