One more try… will appreciate any feedback on deciding between milgard or pella fiberglass replacement windows… The Milgard rep will fit replacements from scratch… the pella wants to use the old aluminum frame??? seems questionable to me… feedback please… also, the milgard fiberglass isn’t all that much more than vinyl but the pella fiber. is twice the cost of vinyl… thanks, tuna

From scratch means installing new windows with flange and installing new flashing. A lot more work if stucco is involved.
Installing in existing window frame is less work and faster to install. If it leaks, it is not their fault, its the old window frames fault. There is more reduction of glass area too.
Milgard has the lifetime guarantee... you'll be needing it!
