This is my first post so I hope I don’t insult anyones intelligence.
I have a 1920 era house that is in the mission style. We are located in Greenville, SC. It originally had cedar shake shingles.
We need to reroof and we are thinking about using a metal roof.
Question: Do metal roofs go ok with the mission style????????
Is there somewhere to look at mission houses with metal roofs?

A metal roof may be ok, depending on the house. Post a pic of the house here and people will give their opinions on what you should do.
However, if you are interested in the style do pick up a copy of Craftsman Homes by Stickley, its a great little book (there are also sequels like "more craftsman homes") and you might actually find your house design right on the pages.
Here's a link at Amazon http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0486237915/qid=1110640304/sr=1-16/ref=sr_1_16/102-0476742-1180143?v=glance&s=books
Certainly a mission style roof, but a new design. See it roofed in prefinished 22" standing seam galvalume by going to http://www.homebydesignshowhouse/download/
That link doesn't work. Here you go.

Gene, that is some nice looking work! Now, did you do everything yourself, or did you have some help? Just kidding. I like the eyebrow eave.
